I'm beginning to wonder who the idiot is here. If PG&E turns of its transmission lines, all customers will lose power, you, me, BARTD, Muni, etc. If only the /i/distribution[/i] lines are turned off, then it's specific neighborhoods and customers. Don't forget that there are also USBR transmission lines, the main one in the East Bay goes to the Rad Lab at UCB.
