Folks That don't know much about the NWP, Its all about "History".
I don't know who some of the posters are (Alt BS) but I spent a lot of time playing around the sand house in Tib Also the shops, RH, TT, barge and riding the switch engines. Oh, and the stationery steam engine to supply steam.

Back then, most of the guys were very nice and answered most of my "stupid" questions.

When the SP pulled the pin, all they had on their mind was selling all the property for as much as possible. They did and the rest is history. Where is the RofW as of now? I am sure those records are still there but I don't think I want a title to a " 150' x 50' piece of RofW.

Sorry, just my thoughts. I still have the "plug board" from San Anselmo, step box, etc. Fare rates on cardboard, etc. Oh, an old crank wayside phone but no NWP markings.

They had a "Class Act" up until it was being torn out. Ya, it was a shame but back then, ?????, who knew. They had a great signal system, RofW, everything. Boy, think how the NWP went backwards and if they were here today.

Sorry for running off. Its hard to remember things (RR) in Marin without looking back at the history I know & remember, even the 3' up the coast. Even the R&W when I could drive a motor cycle over a lot of it, with or without rail. (60s) and after 69, served the SP for 42 years in engine service.

That is what is hard to forgot. Loved it all.
