Question about railfanning Seattle, WA area Thanksgiving weekend

I plan on taking time over the Thanksgiving weekend to railfan the Seattle area as well as the Stevens pass line and north to Mt. Vernon. In the past, I've seen comparatively few trains over the four-day weekend (and the yards full of locomotives) and am wondering where they all went. Assuming that traffic is at a normal level the rest of the month, do they add extra trains or extra-long trains before and after the holiday to make up for what they don’t run on the long weekend?
