The PE ran Watts "locals", and to LB, or on other South Branches, also ran "limited" trains, only making "limited" stops, or stops in locations where you could catch the local... The less you stop, the faster the trip. The current two track "Blue" now "A" line, was, back then, a four track PE passenger main from Watts Jct. north to the PE building, where limited trains could pass locals. Parts of Huntington Drive were also 4 track on the Northern lines.
