Haven't heard anything through general press channels. Might want to investigate the company to see when they might be back in operation. After all, it's a company town.
The early earthquake damage assessments showed fairly light damage for the railroad itself - some misalignment where surface ruptures crossed it, but not large. Presumably, where it runs along the dry lake bed/shore, there was some soil liquefaction that would likely require a bit of track work. The bigger question is whether and when the plant might reopen - it took a fair amount of damage including a down "smokestack." By now (3 1/2 months out) repair work should be underway if not finished, assuming it's going to reopen. If the plant doesn't reopen, there's no reason to repair the railroad beyond the
China Lake spur.
