Exaggerations

The line is actually a roller coaster profile from San Antonio to Glidden. Like most Texas railroads it was built on the cheap and follows the sawtooth lay of the land. Lots of grades, but not many miles long ones.

Business is booming but train counts are not up since trains are longer now. There were many recrews today, but trains still can make it from Houston to San Antonio on HOS. No it isn't a meltdown. Not that different than in past years when the ran shorter but more trains. Different kind of congestion.

UP just built a siding at Rosenberg, post-PSR.

He's telling the truth about the huge crowds, though. Surprising how many lined every grade crossing where I saw it from Marion to Weimar.
