Yea -- after the Big Ice Storm of Dec. 1995, I bagged shots of a BNSF Double - Stack train with new 6 - axle GE's, waiting for a re - crew on the Woodinville Sub. @ Black River Jct, WA.
I recall the Seattle - Everett mainline was closed for downed trees. That storm, in my 1st winter in Seattle, was a bad one, with lotsa power outages due to ice - coated lines and trees down everywhere. BNSF was renting generators to power line-side signals and crossings, but they were being stolen by cretins desperate for electricity.
