BNSF battery road locomotive

Has anybody seen the BNSF battery locomotive running? According to a short item in TRAINS it is supposed to be running between Stockton and Barstow CA. It's not a "Green Goat" - it uses lithium batteries instead of lead-acid, and has no on-board diesel engine, charging in the yard or by regen on the road, and MU'd with other diesels. According to the article, it's built from a GE unit that was formerly used for LNG testing.
For the record, THIS is the way that railroads will do true hybrids, probably. Diesel-electrics are not hybrids, obviously (except perhaps to EV fanatics and newspaper types), but since they use electric drive it's possible to substitute pretty much any energy source, such as batteries, for the engine and fuel system, then make hybrid trains by running them with diesels. If anybody has insider info or references to more detailed articles than a few inches in TRAINS, it would be interesting to hear about it.
