Some fire departments just don't have their heads cut in. Back in the 80s, I sat between Chatsworth & Gemco with the second unit on fire.

Well, I walked back and as they started to pull a hose up to the cab, I asked what hey were doing. Was told it wasn't my business. They stuck a 1 1/2 line, down the exhaust stack and the engine wasn't even on fire.

They ruined the electrical equipment, let the DB grids and the rest of the engine burn. All they had to do is foam it and it would have been done in 25".
