Yep, everyone is subject to term limits in CA, so what.

What does that question mean? Will he be able to pass legislation that could alter CA's policy and funding priorities for new projects before he is termed out? Yes. If he changes some priorities now, will those be constructed and completed by the time he leaves office I n 2024, probably not.

LAUPT run through should be completed by 2027 if it is close to schedule. Now that it is funded. Planning and design work for the Redondo flyover for several years after the decision was made, before construction began. LAUPT run-through, which is funded regardless of anything Rendon is doing, already, is a 2028 Olympics project.

The UP/WSAB corridor, from Slauson Jct, over to the UP Harbor Branch alignment, down to the West Santa Ana Branch alignment, to the I-605 (since petulant MagLEV promoter former Mayor Brucees has managed to keep Cerritos out), is a 2028 project.

That is, if an LA and Mayor of Glendale faction, don't hijack the funding from LA Counties second higher performing LRT Corridor. In this Rendon could be very important in adjusting MTA's "attitude" and focus here. He could author legislation, and has the power to bring forward legislation, as Schiff did in the CA legislature, back in the late 90's for the Gold Line, to make sure that MTA meets its "commitment".

When pigs fly? Pigs don't fly, of course. But, they do fart, and lot's of folks apparently do mistake these sounds for a secret message, when wearing their tinfoil hats....like Mouse?

This is under construction and should be operating as early as 2024, and Rendon's current tenure has had nothing to do with that schedule, this has been an LAX project. It's been under planning and development for years.

Gold Line to Claremont is scheduled for late 2027-early 2028 opening, and has had nothing to do with Rendon's current tenure. Work has started on the extension east, with work on utility, and freight rail realignment, and some work on that is already completed. Funding flows, and costs of existing projects, (Wilshire segments, all under construction or approved)are the main factors as to how much fast this project might move. And, once again, this has nothing to do with Rendon's current

Can he pass significant legislation to "reform" and "restructure" the CAHSRA fiasco, yes. And, he probably will do something along this line. How much it reigns in the "runaway money train" and "restructures" the rail funding process in CA, and makes it consistent with our processes to prioritize and fund road and transit projects, remains to be seen. And, as always, with the "best gubmint that money can buy" I'm always rightly skeptical. But, the happy go lucky days of nearly unlimited and unimpeded access to pick the taxpayer's pockets by the self serving, self promoting, self dealing, contractor run, permanent cluster f##k at the CAHSRA "runaway money train" seems to be in jeopardy, as never before.
