Well, Rayonier was infamous for wringing everything they could out of their engines, including some boiler work that won't pass inspection nowadays. Don't know if the 38 had any of that done to it, but I do know the driver tires are almost double-flanged from wear. Is there enough meat on them to be turned??
It will take buckets-O-money--but it would be a GRAND engine to see run again (where?)
