John Signor's book "Southern Pacific's Salt Lake Division" has some photos on page 312-313 of UP 5500 series 2-10-2s that were leased by SP in 1947 for use in helper service out of Wells, Nevada. The UP unit in the photo appears to be 5523 so this is probably where and when the photo was taken.
