I was trying to remember Rob Carlson's name yesterday but drew a blank.
For fun, here is a recent upload of a Modesto & Empire Traction loco.

The Mighty M&ET Plus a Warbonnet
M&ET GE 70T 602 at Barstow, CA on the AT&SF May 1969 poses with F7A 308. The little GE was most likely in for wheel turning or some other service.
602 is actually a co-star of sorts, having been filmed in the 1955 film, Night Freight, starring Forrest Tucker. Along with sister 70T #600, they were featured through-out the 79-minute B-flick.
Those old enough to remember the film, and familiar with SoCal radio stations might also remember the "mighty met" phrase being used by southern California FM radio station KMET. It was commonly referred to as the Mighty MET. It was a "little bit of heaven, 94.7, KMET." A little bit of obscure trivia for warbonnet Wednesday.
