Rebuilt rotary SPMW 222

As I recall, rotary 222 broke down last time it was called out. Was it reported anywhere what the problem was? Do these rebuilds have a computer interface for crews to operate all the systems? Is there some reason UP retained the “SPMW” on the rotaries and B-units? I assume the UP does not feel any nostalgia for the SP, so there must be a practical reason?
