Hutch ain't being cruel, he just needs to roll, and smoke, an Alco... But, this guy in the video is as dubious as some of the folks he's ragging on.
He's right about one thing, lead by example, which is why some of the hairshirt pseudo science spouting, PETA worshipping, nit wits who like to call themselves "environmentalists" are often an embarrassment.
But, as usual, that doesn't mean some of these problems aren't very real.
It's just that many of their solutions don't work, and won't work, if they expect folks to go back to the twelfth century, and live without modern conveniences, we've made possible with real science.
That's the science, which is what will be needed to solve the GHG problem, with clean power alternatives, that produce real power, that provides for our standard of living. Take that away from folks, and after the nuclear war, we won't have to worry about it any more.
Maybe, we might even need to electrify things like choo-choo's to get within the natural carrying capacity of the carbon cycle (which is over 95% which is mostly biogenic, with a small randomly varyig geogenic contribution from things like vulcanism. Only 5 percent is coming from manmade causes, but that is where most of the change in atmospheric CO2 build up is coming from).
And, we should probably put a higher priority on starting to build a wall on the "Gulf" of "Mexico", to keep the sea out, rather than on the border of the country of Mexico. Because 2 degrees in global temperature rise is already "baked in", and we're already measuring sea level rise, which could be as much as 3 meters by the end of this century. So take the grandkids to see the Everglades now, while the other half is still there.
But, I guarantee that none of these real things will happen, by that mob blocking coal trains at a really cool "sit in".
But, you do understand this guy ranting in the video is kind of a dufus, too....
