Misplaced compassion is as harmful as apathy. Do you know who you're having compassion for and why? As a former regular BART rider who stopped riding ONLY for the reasons stated above, it seems the issue you have is with the truth and words used to describe it, not solving the causes of these problems.

Having blind compassion might make you feel good but it's a meaningless exercise that does more damage in the long run.
