SMART to Healdsburg

SMART just announced it could have rail service to Healdsburg by 2024.A carrot for the voters . Of course that depends on winning the tax extension vote tomorrow and outside grants being approved.Voters seem skeptical of an agency that promised a rail system to Cloverdale years ago. The NWP Ignacio to American Canyon segment parallel Hwy 37 is desperately needed. The Healdsburg to Cloverdale segments population is too small to attract many commuters. Of course if SMART does not get the two thirds vote tomorrow it will try again each election cycle until money runs out in 2029.
