I used the 1785 as a model when I started to work on the 2914 back in about 1998. I was able to put in one day a week for about 10 years and sometimes had help but for the most part it was just me. There was a lot of things I wanted to do and a few things I wish I had done differently but for the most part it looked pretty good. I'm retired now and have been in contact with the museum so may be able do a little work on it but will have to start all over establishing a connection with the new employee's at the museum. The amount of work needed just to stabilize an artifact of that size is huge, I can just imagine what the ship guys have to do to preserve something floating in seawater.
