Since the STB let the cat out of the bag that there are several other persons interested in the Tennasee Pass line and if sold, it should sell for around $125 million...I think the only one with that type of cash is everyone’s favorite shortline group, Watco...
So think about it, it would fit well with that other line they bought in Colorado from
UP, plus Watco knows a little about fixing up trashed railroads

UP gets some person to move traffic a large portion of the way west and
UP still gets the traffic, without 200 or so miles of heartburn...

Right or wrong, someone seems to be willing to wave a lot of cash
in UP face.

And with declining coal and oil traffic, what better time to get into
railroading.
