Does UP still have a significant percentage holding of FXE, or??

In this market / situation someone should buy KCS. It could even be UP, they'd find a way to roll some of the junky US-side bit to CN or whatever, and come away with the KCSdeM. Then again CN could finally hold their nose and beat UP to the punch (great synergies, assuming you can get trains through Houston)...

For that matter at these prices who really needs independence of those two shortish-haul eastern States-only carriers (that STILL go everywhere, some places 3 different ways)? As slim as the pickin's are getting in rail - is 'the way things have always been' a good reason for continuing to carry the weight of a Jacksonville or Atlanta??
