Tanks on Freeways?

A poster below mentioned that quarantine enforcing tanks would be on freeways and not the rails. A bit of historical irony here. Eisenhower was very impressed with Germany's Autobahn, and this led in part to our Interstate Hwy System. In actuality, Hitler's Panzers moved almost exclusively by rail. The tanks would have torn up the Autobahn. Also a factor was the shortage of petrol. I don't think CalTrans would be too thrilled to have tanks on their freeways.
