Of the 5 projects listed on the article mentioned earlier, only the first two were ever done (2nd main track Walong-Marcel, Cliff siding extension).

Single track sections remaining on Tehachapi:

Bena-Ilmon
Caliente-Walong (4 sidings in this stretch: Bealville, Cliff, Rowen, Woodford)
Marcel-Cable

The entire Mojave Sub is now CTC, with the last section from Bakersfield-Sandcut recently changed over.
