In the mid 1950s SP&S had a job based out of Yardley named the "Scribner Turn". It was the last job assigned to steam power, by 1956 it was Z-8 Challenger 910. They ran tender first from Yardley to Scribner, and then normally when returning to Yardley. Any local railfan who wanted to go for a ride was welcomed by the SP&S crew. My turn came on April 10, 1956 when I finally got up the courage to ask; I was dying for a cab ride in a Challenger and I knew that that opportunity was rapidly closing. We went out with only 2 cars and the 910 just coasted. We returned with 68 cars. I thought the 910 would have to work coming up the grade to what is now Sunset Jct. Even this decent sized train was handled with little effort by the 910.

Alas, the 910 lasted on the Scribner turn only until August 1956 when the SP&S finally assigned diesel power to the job.
