Agreed. In steam days it was always light power over the mountain. TW-8's were the biggest loco's they ran. Pacific's like the 2472 were not even used on the line between Watsonville and Santa Cruz. It was always small steam power like 4-6-0's or 2-8-0's that turned the trains like the Suntan Special over to bigger power at Watsonville.
