An Amtrak PA ...... lets play with this one shall we? What would a PA look like in Amtrak colors? Would they go "Retro" with that as well? My vote would be a repeat of the Baldwin A-1-A Sharknose.
An argument could be made for crew protection with a PA or shark type nose.
The design of the current fleet has a flavor of utilitarianism that I still have a hard time seeing. The equipment that I see rolling through Roseville is well worn with flaking paint and lettering. Deferred maintenance was the domain of the railroads prior to Amtrak wasn't it ?
