The paintings by John Whitfield are excellent.

SP fans should be pleased - there are five of the SP, including the cover featuring Extra 6378 West on a Coast Line freight.

Here's what the unit looks like today. It's awaiting restoration (along with the 6380) by the Golden Gate Railroad Museum on the property of the Pacific Locomotive Association in Sunol, California.
