I had mentioned the airport @ Schellville a few months back and the Curtiss P-40N that is nearing completion after a 7 plus year restoration.
Plans are to have the Curtiss out for viewing on New Years Day and maybe even taxiing around. The airport will be open to walk-ins for its fly-in that day. Fly-ins are by invitation only account limited space for one reason. Auto parking is limited but the public is welcome.
This is a very unique rural airport with a wealth of beautiful aircraft. If you are in the area and interested in aviation, this is a great place to visit & fly out of. I got a nice offer yesterday from a friend and went to Buchanan Field in Concord and back in his Cessna 195, a real classic.
Airport is on Hwy 121 about 4-5 miles north of Sears Point Raceway.
