AMTK Cascades @ Auburn Sat Nite w/BNSF power

I saw an Amtrak Cascades heading North Sat nite about 9:20 pm approaching Auburn.

On the point: A BNSF Unit with the BNSF Logo, Santa Fe style.

No cabbage unit, the Amtrak unit was on the other end (facing South)

Anyone know why BNSF had to put a locomotive on this one?

Could not see the number of the BNSF unit, as I didn't see it was Cascades train until right on top of it as I was driving South on E Valley Hwy (which runs along the tracks)
