Milwaukee memories

Well over a half century ago, I "learned to ski" so as to enjoy The Milwaukee Road electrification, Seattle Union Station to Hyak.

The Seattle Times sponsored the operation. Up to three trains on Saturdays and one on Sundays.

Bipolars first, then box cabs towing steam-line equipped teakettles.

My participation financed by, what else, a Seattle Times route.

We visited Harlowton during our RV days. Gave the school secretary a photocopy of the schedule in the Official Guide so that the children would know when the ghosts of The Olympian Hiawatha and The Columbian would be visiting their town.
