I ran onto the announcement at Hobby Shop. Asked about it and found I know a couple of people
involved so thought it was worth passing on. They plan it to be an annual event and will likely promote it better when the world gets back to normal. As for the SD-9, it lacks traction motors, bell and horn. They are still looking the rest of the unit over to determine condition.
