Yuba City California, August 4th 1964 as SN #654 pulled three loaded boxcars out of the Del Monte Packing Plant and down Plumas St. It was also the date of the supposed Gulf of Tonkin incident.

Forty-four years later, very little remains of this scene. The track has been paved over, the Del Monte Plant was torn down and now Plumas St. continues on to the South thru Condo and office buildings.

#654 resides at the Western Railway museum at Rio Vista Jct.
