No El Paso, no Boston; SEPTA/Newark/ITRR/Red Arrow/6 Muni D-types, all have recently been rebuilt, none are authentic as museum pieces (including 1040): LED lighting, the D-Types converted from GE to WH control, etc. Regardless, like the PCCs of the 1930s and 1940s, they do keep the tracks and wires in place.

> The SDG&E Silver Line uses three meticulously restored vintage vehicles that make stops along the downtown loop. The PCC Streetcars 529 and 530 of the 1940s alternate with the very first iconic red San Diego Trolley, the 1001 U2 which began service in 1981.

The 529 is a converted Muni 1100 (formerly SLPS 1716) and not a restoration because the pedal operation has been changed from two pedal to three pedal. The 530 is ??? because their site shows a SEPTA with one style of front and the restored one has a completely different style.
