Dear Mr. Bill B.:

I read this post, and oddly last night I had been reading a book I own - "The Art of the Streamliner" - which speaks of many trains of that period including the Hiawatha, a train capable of easily hitting 120 MPH. There is one picture of the Tip Top Taproom, and unfortunately, it does not look all that exciting. There are no windows. The accommodations include 6 small round tables, each surrounded by 4 common 30's dinette chairs. The bar is located across the back of the car, nowhere to sit there. The walls were painted with a simple chrome motif, indirect lighting (Very normal for that time) and A/C vents centered in each of the six areas.
I guess the cachet was in drinking your drinks at 120 MPH, not in seeing the 120 MPH view going by. I hope you have picked out a fun décor for your ManCave and didn’t wait for this disappointment. I can't see any way to include my scan in this post, so if you want to see it, answer this back and I will email you a copy

Ben
