This unfortunate form of human-train interaction (aka "stupid"), with negative outcomes resulting from the applicable laws of physics, appears to be from an independent randomly distributed variable ("stupid"), not associated with how much warning the choo-choo horn does, or doesn't, give at this sample of grade crossings.... Ain't science fun....?
