One thing I've learned in my years of lurking here at AP is that it's important to check on sources, including publication dates. In the case of this thread, started by synonymouse at 10-06-2020 - 10:50, the mij article PUBLISHED: October 5, 2020 at 5:32 p.m. | UPDATED: October 6, 2020 at 6:57 a.m. was topped by a photo dated Sept. 17, 2020.

Your 10-06-2020 - 11:59 post commented on the thoroughness of the reporting in that article.

My reply to your post was that that thoroughness you praised was something that required time. Too often these days our news business, and we as news consumers, do not let our reporters have enough time to do a more thorough job of analysis and reporting. I pointed out the event dates.

Going back to that Sept 17 photo time, I wondered if the mij had sat on the story all this time, what other sources might have done with it, and whether it had been earlier reported here at AP; and it turns out it had been reported earlier here at AP, by synonymouse, but he didn't mention that in his post this morning.
