The "straighten is out as you go" method of rough track train handline? I like it, we had a segment like that through west LA (along Santa Monica (near the Mormon Temple) that was like that... And, all of the old Harbor Belt on Terminal Island. And, on the island, a$$ deep in mud if it rained, you'd get a real good rhythm to the cars rocking, as you had to get up to 20 mph, to make the climb to the Henry Ford Bridge, back before that approach was completely rebuilt for the containers....
