Maybe you can move the power plants closer to the load so you don't have to string transmission lines through the middle of nowhere where trees do their natural thing and grow up and on heavy load days those transmission lines do their natural thing and sag; voila, fire.

God forbid you live next to the power plant; you want it 1,000 miles away on the other side of the mountain range so you don't have to see/hear/smell it.
