One photo showed large stacks of used ties along the ROW . That would be normal during a tie replacement program. From what I read it looks like someone placed a bunch of used ties on the tracks to derail a train. The used ties were either good quality, new, placed just right or their were so many it derailed the train. Usually the trains plow will knock them out of the way or cut them in half. Is there more to this story other than the fact they don't know who the culprit is?
