I'm honestly surprised Talgo keeps trying. They've been in the U.S. for how many years and have sold how many trainsets? Two to Amtrak (Talgo 6), Two to WSDOT (Talgo 6), all four of which are awaiting the scrapheap. Two to ODOT (Talgo 8) that are the only ones still running. Two to Wisconsin (Talgo 8) that were not accepted and are rusting to the rails. Eight. Fewer than one a year.

Considering they "sold" two trainsets that the customer refused to accept delivery on, and those two trainsets could not find a buyer in six years. Everyone who considered those trains, walked away - no, RAN away from them, QUICKLY. Give it up - these trains aren't some magical rainbows-and-unicorns future of passenger rail. As a formerly frequent rider of the Amtrak Cascades, I'm glad they are gone. About the ONLY good thing about them is that they were different, and 99.9% of passengers don't give a damn about that. Just like, 99.9% of airline passengers don't give a damn about the kind of aircraft they are in, or 99.9% of bus riders don't give a damn about what kind of bus they're on.
