To add to OPRRMS' message, the P30CH's were ordered to handle a yet-to-be-delivered new order of Amtrak Superliners that were designed to handle Head End Power. They were equipped with two Detroit gen-sets at the rear of the carbody and, as I recall, were slower than the recently-retired Train Masters that had 600 less horsepower.
