Thanks Uncle Dave.

I remember seeing rotary plows stationed at Essex and Whitefish in the 80's. But I read BNSF no longer uses rotaries on Marias Pass. If there is an avalanche to clear, I assume they will just use cats and spreaders. Rotaries don't work on avalanches anyway because of the all debris in avalanche snow.
