Progress Rail bought the former Coast Engine & Equipment Co. facility in Tacoma's Tideflats area quite a few years ago. Perhaps with EMD locomotive sales running a distant 2nd to GE, ( and not many Toasters being built recently either ), Progress found this facility to be in excess of its' needs.
