Schedule your vacation for May 10th and make plans to head to Ogden. If 844 isn't there, you can still go out to Promontory, participate in the festivities, get the T-shirt, etc . . . then go back to Ogden and chase some other trains! Sounds like a great vacation to me, steam or not.
