Southern Pacific ran a piggyback & boxcar train from Portland to Los Angeles called The Pacific Coast Express ,PCX was in the train code. This train was operated to expedite paper goods from PNW paper mills to Bay Area & SoCal customers. It was not called Golden Pig Service, which was simply a marketing program.
