If China ever goes for a gadgetbahn like hypeloop it will be their own design and their own government consultants and engineers.

With a huge population China's trains will still be busy even with a vastly larger number of private vehicles.

I believe that in time China will impose its own local version of the Monroe Doctrine and that will be interesting.
