The only way to make positive change for the environment, transportation and community across Santa Cruz County is change the political leadership for the county. For that reason, Trail Now has been participated in the election process as a Political Action Committee (PAC) since 2016. Trail Now has been very successful for all the elections, winning all candidates and measures, and will continue to participate in the future elections.
For 3rd (Westside) and 4th (Watsonville) District Supervisor elections, Trail Now will be asking candidates to support opening a new trail from Felton to Santa Cruz by converting Roaring Camp diesel trains to electric/rubber-wheeled Trolley. County candidates will support making financial deal with Roaring Camp to convert railroad into trail that accommodates Roaring Camp trolley along with funds to repair the Roaring Camp Steam Engine Trestle to Redwood Cathedral.
Converting the railroad tracks from Felton to Santa Cruz will provide an alternative transportation corridor for county residence and help our community fight climate change and make our roads safer.
