Amtrak service alerts re. Trains 3 & 4 as of 1030 on June 16. Glad I'm not traveling on the route today...

Southwest Chief Train 4, which departed Los Angeles (LAX) on 6/14, is currently stopped east of Gallup (GLP) due to a crew change and scheduled equipment inspection. Updates to follow.

UPDATE SOUTHWEST CHIEF CONT: Due to extensive delays Southwest Chief Train 3 that departed CHI on 6/13 & Train 3 that departed on 6/14 are coupled operating as one Train en route to LAX. Back on the move & currently operating approx 28 hr 35 min/ 4 hr 35 min late.

UPDATE-SOUTHWEST CHIEF: Service west of Albuquerque (ABQ) has been restored. Additional delays are to be expected through the area due to speed restrictions and residual rail congestion.

FWIW, 5&6 and 7&8 are having issues, too. But nowhere near as bad as as 3&4.
