The rock train is loaded at Reed Pit, on a spur off the old OE main line (OE District) at Reed Jct. Reed Jct is located a bit north of Salem. There are two unloading facilities for these trains, one at Tonquin (between Tualatin and Willsonville on the OE District), and one at Hillsboro (at the west end of town on the Seghers District).

As I understand it, they typically will make one round trip a day. I'm not sure if there is a set schedule on what days they run to Tonquin vs Hillsboro, but it seems that days they work Hillsboro they often depart from Hillsboro (empty) between 1100 and 1200, and I've often hear them get track warrants on the OE heading down to Reed Jct between 1200 and 1400.

Hope this helps a bit.

Best regards,
~Matt
