The point being made, that battery or hydrogen solutions are not remotely in any way shape or form a technological advance over world-standard 25kV overhead electrification, is spot on.

The idea of carrying an energy source inside the vehicle, besides the danger it presents, is long obsolete. The best technology leaves the energy source on terra firma and delivers weightless electricity on demand. Batteries or hydrogen are a huge technological step backwards.

The first 25kV in California is going up two blocks from my house, after having been studied for almost 30 years.
