It should be noted that single tracking of CAHSR is an alternative in the bids. Double tracking is the primary option. The reason for getting the cost of single tracking is just to have the option if cash is tight. Testing and operation over just the initial operating segment will not have sufficient traffic to need double tracking. It is generally agreed that it would be better to double track from the start but options can be useful.
